Sonic
Babe Of The Month - October 2006
Name: Rachelle Ramm
From: Berkeley, CA.
What made you get into Rock N' Roll?
Being born into a family that loves Rock N Roll. It's unavoidable &
I'm lucky! : ) I've been exposed my whole life and I love it! My
family are avid concert goers and have been influenced by many
artists.
What was your
first rock concert and what was the experience like for you?
The Bangles, at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley. I saw them performing
live, got goose bumps and said "I could do that".
It was very
inspirational, I hung out after the show and got their autographs.
I
was one excited 12 year old!
What is your five all time
favorite albums (CDs)?
OUCH! Tough very tough, Mikey! These are on my mind now:
* Alice N Chains, All of them!
* STP, Core & Purple
* Metallica, the Black Album and many Old Skool songs before!
* Soundgarden, A-Sides, Superunkown, Badmotorfinger
* Audioslave
* The Doors, 2 box set
* Pink Floyd, Dark Side of the Moon
* Foo Fighters, The Colour and the Shape
* GNR, Appetite
* Heart, Many of them
* Nirvana, All
* The Smashing Pumpkins, All
* Incubus, Make Yourself
Who are your five favorite bands?
Again, damn near impossible to nail it. On my mind today : )
Metallica, Soundgarden, The Doors, Velvet Revolver, Audioslave
What is your all time favorite song and why?
Fade to Black, Metallica. It's an emotional roller coaster with
Kick
Ass guitars!
Do you play
an instrument? If so, what & how long? Also are
you in a band, who is it?
Hell Yes! My voice ; ) & I play guitar. The first since
the day I
could hear music, the guitar for about 5 years. I am a Solo Artist
and
I work with many different talented musicians to record and perform
live. The best inspiration and guitar player/composer I work
with is
Hank Shermann of Mercyful Fate.
If your can go back in time, who would
you like to seen perform live & why?
The Doors, Jim Morrison had an energy most humans can never
touch.
Same with Jimi Hendrix, the way he plaid that guitar is out of
this
world, along with the charisma in his voice. Ok and Janis Joplin
with
her soulful unique voice. They simply had magic! No one does
today.
If you could put the ultimate
rock show together with three bands, who would it be?
Metallica, Alice N Chains, Soundgarden
Do you think there's any bands
out today can make rock n' roll big in the mainstream again?
1) Is Rock N Roll meant to be Mainstream? hmmm, I think it has
an
edge because not everybody and their mother likes the same boring
thing.
2) There is to much copying and lack of being Unique in order
to
become Legendary. Or if it's out there the industry won't give
it a
chance.
What do you think rock n roll is missing today?
FREEDOM, there are to many restrictions. People Need to Open their
Minds! The Biz. get's stuck in a channel and it begins to sound
the
same. Fear of profit makes some artists stay in boundaries of what
they create and the industries guidelines of what sells can be
narrow.
Not enough chances are taken these days. We need daring souls with
some Balls!
What is your definition rock n' roll?
Freedom, Fun, A Big Party, Wildness, the time to let down your
guard,
Rebellion, Passion, Belief, Loud Music, Expressions flying in
the air
that influence people, Feelings everyone can relate to, Sex,
Love,
Hate, Fear, War, & Good times!!!
What is your choice of poison (drink)
while enjoying rock n' roll?
I love Beer! Especially, Belgian Beer! I'd also take a shot
of Silver
Patron Tequila!
Any last words or thoughts about rock n roll?
Create Music with no fear, let it flow from your heart n soul
and share
it!!!!
& TURN IT UP LOUD!!!!!
