& 2005 Sonic Babe Of The Year!
Name: Raine
From: Toronto, Canada

What made you get into Rock N' Roll?
I was born to rock baby... haha. My parents had it blasting
from the turntable my whole youth. Of course I went much heavier
than The Beatles and Led Zeppelin. My first memory is of Alice
Cooper, Ozzy and AC/DC. I then turned to the Ramones, Deadboys,
Hanoi Rocks, New York Dolls, Sex Pistols, The Cramps, Kiss, Van
Halen then Motley Crue... you get the idea.
What was your
first rock concert and what was the experience like for you? I think it was an Ozzy concert... it kicked ass. My most
memorable was the Motley Crue and Accept tour when I was about
14 or 15. There was nothing better in the world than being in
the front row under Nikki Sixx. To this day being right in front
of Nikkik Sixx is quite exhilerating!!!
What is your five all time
favorite albums (CDs)? Hmmmm too many to list.
Who are your five favorite bands?
Ramones
Deadboys/ Lords Of The New Church (I know this is 2... shut up
Stiv rules!)
Hanoi Rocks
Aerosmith
David Bowie
What is your all time favorite song and why? Changes daily
depending on my mood. Today it has been "You
See Me Crying" by Aerosmith off Toys in the Attic.
Do you play
an instrument? If so, what & how long? Also are
you in a band, who is it? I have been teaching myself bass guitar, yes my band is called
Drugstore Cowgirl, we are recording soon, maybe you'll hear us
one day. I will also be doing another project with my best girls
Bobbyjo, and Kitty Kowalski from the Kowalskis called "XO". We
will be doing a rockabilly like 50's & 60's band where we
are covering songs by the Supremems, Shangrila's
and Ronnette's, you get the drift????
If
you can go back in time, who would you like to have seen perform
live?
Stiv! Stiv! Stiv! and Johnny Thunders
If you could put the ultimate
rock show together with three bands, who would it be? Stiv
Bators, Ramones & Hanoi Rocks
Do you think there's any bands
out today can make rock n' roll big in the mainstream again? Yes, I have some friends in bands either newly signed or not
yet signed that are great rock musicians, but I feel that kids
these days do not appreciate these muscians for all they are
worth and are being brainwashed to listen to fabricated music
such as phonies like Britney Spears, and Ashley Simpson... this
shit isn't real. Kids need to be educated in the school of Aerosmith,
Cheap Trick and the Rolling Stones and then I think rock n' roll
could be big again.
What do you think rock n' roll is missing today?
It's missing the rock and the roll and good musicans. They are
out there but they are not recognized and it's really not fair.
What is your definition rock n' roll? A song that brings
a smile to your face and takes over your soul.
Any last words or thoughts about rock n roll? It's only rockn'roll but i like it. love me xoxoxooxoxo
