Horror of 59

Horror of 59 is a punk rock band from Cleveland, Ohio with a decidedly morbid sensibility. Sure, The Misfits & Ramones are an influence, but Horror of 59 draws from the whole history of seventies and eighties punk, sixties garage rock, fifties rock'n' roll, and even a little bit of metal. Lyrically, the band is inspired not just by horror films, but by real life horrors and local ghost stories and legends of their northeast Ohio stomping grounds. The band consists of M.Balmer - guitar, Deke the Creep - Drums, Tommy Horror - Bass, and Bob Noxious - vocals. All the pieces of this Frankenstein monster were finally sewn together in the summer of 2004, and the band is now ready to bring its unique brand of musical terror to masses.

During most of 2004 the band played shows all around the midwest. In Cleveland the band developed a reputation as one of the hardest working rock bands. Between their rockin' creepy shows the band made time to record their first release in the spring 2005.

Horror Of 59's debut "Screams From The Cellar" was released during the summer of 2005. The band's creepy crawling debut is straight ahead American punk rock with a horror theme.
